The Library is located down the hall from the church offices next to the school classroom. Many resources are available for your use in the Library and you are also able to borrow books within the guidelines of the Library. Reference materials are not permitted to leave the Library. The Newark Public Library, which has a Biblical/Theological reference section, is located adjacent to the College Square Shopping Center on 750 Library Avenue.
Counseling
Counseling Services are available for both pastoral and academic counseling. The school’s faculty and pastors provide guidance and direction to students in their spiritual and academic life. Faculty is available by appointment only. It is advisable to make an appointment with the pastors so that you will not be kept waiting. Each full time student is required to meet with his or her designated advisement and direction.
Church Family
If you are not a member of a local church, Word of Life Christian Center invites you to be a part of our church family and partake of the various ministries available to you. If you are not familiar with WOLCC, ask the secretary for a Welcome Packet, which will acquaint you with the church and its ministries. We can also direct you to other area churches that will welcome you into their church family.
Photocopier/
Telephone
Students have limited access to the church’s photocopier, which is located in the secretary’s workroom. Please ask the staff for instruction
and assistance before using it. There is a nominal copy fee for usage to help defray expenses. A phone for brief telephone calls only, is available in the church kitchen.
Computers/
Internet
Computers are available in the school classroom with internet
accessibility. If you require better quality, the laser printer (in the church office accounting room) is also available. Please make arrangements with the office during office hours to pick up your document.
Kitchen
The church kitchen is located at the opposite end of the building. It is a self-serve, self-clean kitchen and is available should the student need access. Students are welcome to use the appliances. Privileges will be suspended for kitchen use, should the student not clean up after him/herself. Food and beverages are not permitted in the classrooms.
Prayer Time
Students are encouraged to attend Prayer meetings, which are held every Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. in the sanctuary.
Speakers
Students will be notified of anointed speakers who are brought in several times a year. These ministers come from a variety of backgrounds and are intended to equip the body of Christ.
Student Organization
Involvement in student organization adds to the dimension of the Bible school experience. Student Government Association was formed in 1997. Students actively participate in the government of school in such ways a representation of student concerns and have representation at faculty meetings.
